STEVE GOHM , Consultant

Steve has worked in Restoration since 1987.  In addition to his residential builder’s license, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in Building Construction Management.  Steve has taken advanced courses in fire restoration, cleaning and water remediation.  He has also served as a volunteer firefighter in Saginaw Township for over ten years.

As the president of Hammer Restoration Inc., Steve is committed to providing his workforce with the latest technology available and ongoing training to ensure that Hammer customers receive the best service possible.  He has used this as a base to create a very successful and profitable company.  Steve purchased Hammer Restoration in 2000 and since then has become one of the most significant restoration companies in Mid Michigan.  Although Steve’s company has over doubled in size, it has been a controlled growth focusing on customer service, systems, accountability and creating an exceptional company.  Steve is an exceptional estimator, production manager and is very adept at many industry software applications.

Steve has substantial industry training and experience that he brings to his role as the owner and manager of Hammer Restoration and as a member of the consulting staff at Business Mentors.  Steve has attended dozens of conventions through Disaster Kleenup International and National Institute of Restoration.  He has also presented at local and national meetings and conventions. 
Steve is active in his community and feels that it is important to be involved.  He is a member of the local Red Cross Board of Directors, has received the Giving Your Best Award and was nominated for the Governor’s Service Award.   In addition to his restoration company, he also owns a real estate investment company and a property management company. 

Steve has been married to Melissa since 2002 and is the father of a young daughter and son.  When not working, Steve enjoys spending time on his boat, golfing and scuba diving in the Great Lakes.  Steve lives in Saginaw Township, Michigan.
