David
is a graduate of Northwest Christian College with a degree in Business
Administration. David worked his way through school as a water damage
specialist and as a journeyman carpenter. He worked during the summers
and attended Southern Oregon State College in Ashland, Oregon where
he ran on the track team for a year. He returned to Eugene several
years later and earned his degree at night through Northwest Christian
College while working during the day in the restoration business.
He wrote a thesis paper on installing a production management team
for selling and producing construction projects.
David is a very skilled carpenter and has the skills to professionally
install carpet, vinyl, ceramic tile. He is an exceptional finish
carpenter and has also worked on the framing crew. David recently
rewired his entire home and has also completed a lot of small plumbing
projects. He was a successful lead carpenter on many large fire
damage projects.
After spending years on the construction crew he became an Estimator
and Project Manager. In his last year working for Belfor, his team
sold and profitably managed nearly $2,500,000 in construction related
projects. In his role as Project Manager he worked to institute
a team concept to improve the efficiency and profitability of the
projects. During his time as an estimator he attended many different
basic and advanced Xactimate training sessions.
David joined Business Mentors in May of 2004 after spending over
15 years working in the field. He is a valuable member of the team
and will assist with implementing new systems and procedures throughout
the company with an emphasis on sales and production management.
With his understanding of estimating and Xactimate, he will provide
training with real life experience rather than just theoretical
understanding of the programs and estimating systems.
David married his wife Michelle, in August of 1990. They have four
children, two daughters and two sons. He enjoys working with his
hands, gardening, hiking, camping and enjoying the outdoors. David
lives in Eugene, Oregon.
